Graduate Student Intern Therapy
-
What is it?
Therapy with a graduate intern is a collaborative, relational process grounded in curiosity, compassion, and connection. Together, you’ll explore the patterns, emotions, and relationship dynamics that shape how you move through the world.
We hold the whole system in view; your inner experience, your relationships, and the cultural stories that shape them. Whether you're navigating anxiety, grief, identity shifts, or relational pain, this space invites slowing down, tuning in, and making room for healing.
Intern sessions weave together evidence-based tools and your lived wisdom, supporting you in reconnecting with your values, setting boundaries, and reclaiming your sense of self. All parts of you are welcome here.

The Gift of Many Voices
When you work with a graduate intern at Sage Wellness KC, you're held not just by one therapist but by a collaborative process. Behind the scenes, your intern is in regular, intentional conversation with a licensed supervisor, weaving in deeper layers of insight and care.
Supervision brings the wisdom of multiple perspectives into the room, attachment, somatics, parts work, and more, all quietly enriching your sessions. It’s like being supported by a broader healing village, gently guiding the process while centering your unique story.

Fee
At Sage Wellness KC, we believe therapy is a human right, not a privilege. That’s why sessions with our graduate interns are offered at a deeply reduced rate, never more than $50.
This isn’t lesser care. It’s intentional, relational, and supported by skilled supervision. It’s a way to widen the circle, offering space to heal without the burden of financial strain.
Because everyone deserves a place to be seen, to grow, and to come home to themselves.

Flexibility
Intern therapists at Sage Wellness often offer something rare and needed: flexibility. With greater availability for early mornings, evenings, or weekends, they’re able to meet you in the natural flow of your life.
This kind of flexibility isn’t just convenient; it’s part of the care. It makes room for consistency, trust, and showing up even when life feels full or uncertain.
Because healing should adapt to you, not the other way around.
